More than a year later, and having only added new sealant, the Marges/Nates combo with Clown Shoes rim strip is doing fine. No flats (knock on wood) and only needing to add air from time to time, it’s been working great for me.
Mileage: dunno. Guessing somewhere around 500 or so.
Where: Anza-Borrego, Black Canyon, AZ, Berryessa, and San Diego local mountains and city spots.
Other than desert riding, it’s not my go-to bike, more like a fun bike to ride on occasion.
No doubt, the fat slows you down, which can be a good thing.
