Costa Rica

There is no doubt that Costa Rica is an eco-tourism gem, though perhaps it is a little too “touristy” for some of us. Still, when it comes to natural beauty–forested green mountains, magnificent volcanoes, stunning beaches–the little country on that little isthmus is a great place to have a good time.

First visiting in 1999 for fun, and then going back seven times between 2010-2012 for work, which also was a lot of fun, I will say this:  if you want comfort, you can easily find it, and if you look hard enough, you can have adventure and experience Tico-landia with a bit of roughness around the edges.
