As 2016 comes to a close, it is looking like 2017 will be off to a solid start on my writing calendar; things are really taking off! Fortunately, I have articles that will be going to print and I have assignments lined up for publication later in the year. Add in the university classes that I teach, and things are going to get busy fast, which is great. I’m excited.
On the blog, I’ve decided to try something new for 2017. I will post only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. That provides me with deadlines, so to speak, and keeps me on a schedule, and for the readers–you–it provides continuity to what is happening here. In addition to this regimen, I’ve also decided that the 3 days will have 3 set themes:
Mondays = Mountains
Wednesdays = Ocean
Fridays = Travel
If you visit this site on a Monday, you will see a post about an adventure in the mountains, be it biking, hiking, backpacking, or maybe even snowshoeing.
On Wednesdays, I’ll post something about the ocean, from body surfing to snorkeling to perhaps beach walking and birding.
Fridays are for travel posts, which will run the gamut ranging from: places to go, things to do, sites to see, or food and drink to enjoy.
That’s it! That’s the plan! If this is your first visit to my site, thanks for stopping by … and, if you’d like, click the “follow” button below and you’ll get the blog posts in your inbox.
Wishing you a Happy Holidays and sending out big cheer for a Happy New Year 2017! Peace out — Jim
