I went for a ride in the environs of the Valley of the Moon and happened upon a monolith. Out there, I saw no humans. I heard bird songs and the sound of wind blowing over rock surfaces and the skin of chaparral, succulents, and cacti.
It was a peaceful pedal through the desert. Two-track meandered here and there and I went with it.
Happening upon this monolith made me a chuckle. It was a good ride.
