The Writer’s Hustle

Fortunately, I have a primary source of income.  That, too, is a hustle, but less so than pitching articles/ideas to editors and getting the go-ahead, which might later on, after writing a couple thousand words, turn into:  it’s not the right fit, or … we’re booked pretty solid for the next year with content.  Sure, there are contracts and kill fees, etc, but that’s not always the case.

Nevertheless, I like to ride my bike and if a little hustle is needed to turn experiences into words that turn into dollar bills, that’s a small price to pay considering the real payoff: getting outside and smiling while breezin’ through the trees.
