How War Heroes Eat

Tijuana River, On the USA/Mexico Border, Baja California Norte, Mexico.

It smells likes sewage.

People line up for a meal behind the vehicles. They receive their ration and walk on, or sit down and eat it right there.

Human beings who spilled blood, sweat, and tears defending the USA in war, honoring the flag, people that some of you would salute with steadfast patriotism, are here, after being deported from the USA, and after they already paid their price. They have organized, calling themselves and their organization, “Banished Veterans.”

Open your minds. Your hearts are already there.
