Stopping at a roadside stand to buy produce always puts a smile on my face. I get to enjoy food that is in season, and the producer gets some instant cash that s/he can put away in a secret place to use later, or go down to the cantina to buy a bottle of guaro to pass a few hours. Maybe they will wake up with dew on their shirt and early morning air on their face a few hours after that.
Substitute beer for guaro and bar for cantina for the North American version!
