Yosemite Falls and Mirror Lake

Around me are gobs of people with phones and selfie sticks taking photos, like I am, minus the phone and stick.  The noise of road construction abounds.

I walk in the direction of Mirror Lake, which is no longer a lake, really, instead being a bowl of forest succession.  I see fewer humans, hear less noise, and enjoy watching a handful or two of people bouldering along the way.

At Mirror, there is not much of a mirror …
