Senegalese Food = Yum!

Senegalese food is quite tasty.  Yassa, with chicken or fish or lamb (the ones I got to eat), satiates, especially so because of the wonderful aroma/spices used in the preparation.  Millet cous cous … yes, that is something I want to try and make at home.   Fish and rice — the national dish — never disappoints, at least not for me!

Also, I enjoyed the communal aspect of eating.  One big bowl and plenty for everyone to get a sufficient amount, is how it works.  A few photos, the first two being from a dinner at middle-class family’s home in Dakar, and the other from a village down Velingara way:
