The weather this week has turned quickly to spring/summer, with abundant sunshine and temps in the low 80s. The agave plants like it. Bikes like it. I like it. Of course, we need more rain, lots of it.
Nevertheless, as they say, you gotta make hay when the sun shines.
Riding around Florida Canyon in Balboa Park was a hoot on the single speed. Recent El Nino rains made a few ditches and gulches that made for some tricky riding, but other than that, it’s a beautiful little spot for an hour of not-too-difficult riding in between getting some work done.
