Found throughout Paraguay, in every house, on every street corner, along for the ride on every bus, chipa is a doughnut-like cheese bread with a density more like a bagel. Made of manioc flour, and with anise being essential or it’s not chipa, it’s a wonderful little snack.

    Much fluffier than rosquillas…And with anise? How interesting!

      sooooo much better than rosquillas, except for the ones sold on the noon manto bus after san francisco de la paz ! those rosquis were pretty darn good!
