Rustaveli Street, Tbilisi

Named for the 12th Century Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli, most famous for his epic poem The Knight in the Panther’s Skin, Rustaveli Street or Avenue is the main thoroughfare running through Tbilisi.  Designed and built to be European-like, it is home to museums, theaters, government buildings, shops and restaurants.  At the eastern end is Freedom Square, a central point for the country where many a protest has culminated, including the Rose Revolution of 2003.

  1. Thanks so much for giving everyone remarkably pleasant chance to check tips from here. It’s usually so lovely and also jam-packed with a good time for me personally and my office acquaintances to search your site at minimum thrice in one week to read through the newest secrets you will have.
